St Dominic’s Convent, Staffordshire
Staffordshire
Overview
St Dominic’s Convent, established by the English Dominican Congregation in the mid-19th century in the town center of Stone, has a rich history. The Sisters founded the first hospital in Stone, an orphanage, a care home, and a school, with the latter two still in operation. However, the Congregation has faced a decline in the number of Sisters since the mid-19th century, raising concerns about their future and legacy.
Planning permission for the site has been confirmed, and we expect works to commence shortly.
