Perenco
Overview
We were tasked with designing and constructing the new engine building and external yard at Centrica’s Perenco project in Wytch Farm, Dorset. This COMAH upper tier site, Europe’s largest onshore oil field, required a complex civil engineering scope. Our bespoke design included a 13m high steel frame building with fire-rated steelwork, blockwork, cladding, and stud wall construction. We collaborated closely with M&E designers to integrate two 187-tonne engines and a Waste Heat Recovery Unit Tower with large silencers. Planning and acoustic constraints necessitated meticulous coordination for compliance. Our work encompassed all drainage, ducting, road realignment, and foundation installations, ensuring the site’s operational efficiency and safety standards. Our partnership with Centrica facilitated seamless budget management and project delivery, emphasizing our commitment to precision and client satisfaction.
