Oxley Health & Wellbeing Facility
Overview
The two-storey Oxley Health and Wellbeing Facility, along with a three-storey residential building comprising 23 homes, will replace the former Oxley Day Training Centre on Probert Road, which has been closed for six years.
This new development aims to enhance health and family services, offering integrated general medical services, community services, social care, and housing for local GP practices. The facility will also serve as a base for community nursing teams and feature a clinical bookable suite to support ‘out of hospital’ services.
The residential aspect of the project will include key worker housing and affordable living options, providing a diverse mix of up to 23 housing units. The development is designed with the potential to partner with a housing association to support the government’s ‘Self and Custom Build’ initiative, fostering greater community involvement and housing opportunities.
