Associate Director, Liam Massey has successfully completed his Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) Chartership at the first attempt, as he continues to fast-track his career at HBL Associates.
Liam joined the consultancy straight from college in 2008 as a trainee CAD technician. He continued to work whilst studying part-time at Liverpool John Moores University and achieved a first-class MEng degree in 2015, whilst also gaining the IStructE student of the year prize.
Having received his ICE Chartership this summer, Liam now intends to sit his IStructE exam in January 2020.
HBL Director, Henry Long commented: “Our company’s successful recruitment strategy has always been to identify good young students and graduates and encourage their rapid professional development across all aspects of civil and structural engineering.
“Liam is an excellent example of this, joining us as a young CAD technician just over 10 years ago and now an associate director and fully chartered civil engineer with responsibility for some of our leading blue-chip clients and project managing major multi-million pound contracts.”
